Akanbi Bamidele Brett better known as Cheque was born on 23 March 1995 in Ondo State, Nigeria. He is a Nigerian Afrobeat and Hip-pop singer, rapper, and songwriter. He signed to Penthauze Records found and managed by the playmaker, Phyno Fino in 2020.
Cheque hails from Ondo State, Nigeria. He schooled at Obafemi Awolowo University in Osun State, where he graduated as a Chemical Engineer. He stated that he has never wanted to be a music artist looking at his family background where education is compulsory.
Cheque released his hit single titled Zoom under the label which gained him prominence and breakthrough in the Nigerian Entertainment Industry. Zoom melody has been enjoyed by everyone that listens to it.
